The Malta Qualified Persons Association (MQPA) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand how we will use your personal data and what choices you can make about the way in which your personal data is collected and used by us. Personal data is any information that relates to you from which you can be identified by us.

The main use of the personal information that you supply the Association with is to provide the specific services that you, as a member, require from the Association. The Association collects personal data relating to you directly from you when you fill in a Membership Application Form to apply for membership in the Association.

The above personal data collected by the Association will be held by the Association in such manner as to ensure that the information is secure, and that unauthorized access or disclosure of the data is prevented. The data will be held only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for the purpose of pursuing the Associationís objectives as defined in the Statute, or in line with legal requirements.

The personal data collected by the Association will be processed in accordance with the laws in force for the internal purposes of the Association, and for the Association to pursue its objectives as defined in the Statute.

Whilst you are a member of the Association and at all times in the future, the Association undertakes not to publish, transfer or exchange any information that it holds about you unnecessarily to or with any third parties without first obtaining your written consent, unless there is a legal obligation to do so.

You have the right to request the Association to inform you about the personal data that it holds about you, and to rectify, delete or restrict its use. The Association expects that you keep it advised of any changes in your details so that the data remains current and correct. Any such access/rectification requests must be made to the Association in writing, signed by you as the data subject, or by e-mail to the Associationís e-mail address.

You will be asked to give your express consent to the retention of your data by the Association and to its processing, as outlined above, and your consent to the Association to contact you for the purposes consistent with the aims and objectives of the Association, as outlined in the Statute. You may modify your preferences at any time.
